Our laboratory is now equipped with a transient flow meter
Heki research professionals Anthony Munoz and Maxime Coulaud recently completed the installation of a brand-new transient flow meter on the laboratory’s main test loop. Its bandwidth, which can go up to 50 Hz, will allow better control of the test bench as well as the precise characterization of start-ups, load rejections, and other transient operating conditions which will be the subject of upcoming student measurement campaigns. The Promag 55S flow meter from Endress+Hauser was acquired jointly by Sébastien Houde, Yvan Maciel, and Yves St-Amant thanks to special funding obtained as part of the Council’s Research Tools and Instruments Grant Program Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Institute of Canada (NSERC).
